G9 R.I.P.

My camera mysteriously stopped working at 5AM. I still don't know if I will be able to get my +1000 shots back from yesterday. I'll get a replacement camera this afternoon. I will hopefully share new portraits here by tomorrow. I hope you'll understand. In the mean time, you can check my first post on my other blog.

Sorry to hear about the camera... but this dog-picture might be your best ever! I laughed out loud when I saw it first. I'm not sure whether it's wrong to talk of animal as having a "facial expression" but, mate, this dog does have a better facial expression than most people on most photos!

Hey it seems that you are unlucky with Russia. At first no visa and now no camera. Pretty good. =P

I recently had the same problem with my G9, it just stopped. It seems to be a fairly common problem. Good luck with the new camera.

the same happened with my G9 - then miraculously it came back to life 3 months later.

Maybe you are due for a new battery?

Yes as J. Lucia said: my sympathy about your camera, what a horrible feeling & I hope you got your 1000(+) shots back. But yes: that is a fabulous dog! And it looks like he's eating RAW chicken, hope the poor thing doesn't get salmonella poisoning.

Wishing you good luck. The dog, too.
